Sex Therapy With Orthodox Jewish Clients

About 9% of the American Jews identify as Orthodox. For sex therapists practicing in areas heavily populated by Jews, it is important to have education on how to provide culturally and religiously sensitive sex therapy. This course will explore some of the practices in Orthodox Judaism that will play a role in sex therapy and will introduce therapists to therapeutic techniques and stregths-based approaches to work with this population.

Learning Objectives:

  1. 1. Participants will be able to describe at least two adjustments to sex therapy therapeutic techniques that may be used to provide culturally-sensitivie therapy when performing sex therapy with Orthodox Jewish clients.
  2. 2. Participants will be able to describe at least two strengths-based approaches to use when performing sex therapy with Orthodox Jewish clients.
